The main piece of this smaller wall ornament is forged from a single piece of mild steel, with a rose forged in one end, and a tiny hummingbird (only 2-inches long) forged in the other. The span of steel between the two is shaped into a deep “U”. The rose and bird are mounted in a configuration suggesting that the bird is drinking from the blossom. Two twisting, climbing vines are wrapped around the main piece of the sculpture, with a third vine dangling below the bundle. All are wrapped in the center of the “U” with yet another vine with elegantly curled ends.  Looping curls in one vine on each upper “limb”, and in one of the dangling vine ends below, provide anchor points for fastening the piece to a wall.
